Dr. Lea Anne DeRigne, MSW, Ph.D, Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern
Dr. LeaAnne DeRigne is an experienced educator, clinician, and advocate with over 20 years in social work and academic leadership. As a full Professor at the Phyllis and Harvey Sandler School of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University, she merges her extensive academic background with a strong passion for addressing women's issues, particularly those related to reproductive health, pregnancy, menopause, and mid-life transitions. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to supporting women as they navigate significant life stages, such as parenting teenagers, experiencing empty nest syndrome, managing long-term marriages, navigating divorce, and transitioning in their careers. Dr. DeRigne also specializes in assisting younger women as they make career and family decisions. Additionally, she is a skilled therapist for teenagers (all genders) as they journey into adulthood.
Dr. DeRigne holds an MSW and Ph.D. in Social Work from the prestigious Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, along with a BS in Psychology from Missouri State University. Her private practice blends her academic expertise with a compassionate, client-centered approach. She assists women in understanding the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of their transitions, providing guidance toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. In her practice, Dr. DeRigne creates a welcoming, empathetic environment for women and young individuals to explore their challenges and navigate their most transformative life moments with the support and expertise they deserve.
Amanda Maggiore, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor
Amanda Maggiore is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in the field for over 15 years. Amanda began her social work career studying the work of Carl Rogers and his principles of person-centered psychotherapy. These principles have been the building blocks in her practice with clients where she continues with unwavering positive regard for each individual client. Amanda holds an MSW from Florida Atlantic University and a BA in Communication Sciences from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies). Throughout her career, Amanda has worked in variety of settings including the child welfare system, addiction centers, as well as at a premier behavioral health hospital. During her tenure at JFK Medical Center North, Amanda was the Clinical Supervisor of Outpatient Services providing Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Adolescent Outpatient Services to clients in Palm Beach County.
As a compassionate and dedicated social worker, Amanda is committed to creating a safe, empowering environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Amanda believes in a client-centered approach, placing the needs and goals of her clients at the forefront of working together. With empathy and a non-judgmental attitude, Amanda strives to understand the unique experiences and challenges that women and children face in todays society. Amanda is passionate about ensuring effective collaboration towards positive change. Amanda’s strength lies in empowering clients in order to help tap into their strengths and resources in order to build resilience and achieve personal and professional aspirations. Amanda approachs each individual with respect, dignity, and a deep commitment to their well-being, fostering a trusting partnership that promotes growth and healing. Amanda utilizes a variety of evidenced based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused-CBT, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Play Therapy.
